Introduction to the AffirmationWorks Blog
April 6, 2012
Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit our site and read the AffirmationWorks.me blog!
Since this is the very first entry, I will use this opportunity to quickly explain what this site aims to accomplish, and what you can expect to see in this blog.
This began as a simple iPhone application to help people organize their affirmations and walk them through reciting them. It was intended to be very simple. In fact, I was using this to learn the particulars of iPhone development and needed a simple project. Affirmations were not something I was very familiar with, but I was interested in learning more about them.
There was considerable interest, and hundreds of people purchased the app and were making feature requests. This drove me to expand on the feature set, which I plan to continue doing in pursuit of creating the best affirmations companion app possible.
And now, we have created this web site and blog to provide more tools, resources and tips for those looking to learn about and maximize the effectiveness of our app, and of affirmations in general.
An admission: I am more of a student in this area than a teacher. I have only scratched the surface in terms of my own learning on this subject. And so the articles posted here will generally fall be of the following types:

An admission: I am more of a student in this area than a teacher. I have only scratched the surface in terms of my own learning on this subject. And so the articles posted here will generally fall be of the following types:
- As I learn more about how to utilize affirmations effectively, I will post my discoveries here in hopes that it can benefit others.
- I will recruit experts in this field to "Guest Post" relevant articles, tips and techniques. I have read some excellent posts online, and would love to republish them here.
- Anyone who has had an experience using affirmations (good or bad) that would be willing to let us post it here, we would be happy to.
Just like our iPhone/iPad app, we will keep this site clean, free of "noise", and focused on moving all our readers, and ourselves, forward in this journey to improve ourselves.
And as always, please do not hesitate to drop me an email, or a tweet, or feedback (see the tab on the right side of our site) with your suggestions, comments, or even criticisms.
This is only the beginning!
